Preparation time: 1 1/4 hr
Cooking time: 1/4 hr
- atlantic salmon
- soy sauce
- scallions (green onions)
Prep: (1) need to make the sauce: ... pour 5 cups of soy sauce along with 2 cups of water into bowl ... mash garlic and ginger thoroughly and then mix with soy sauce ... squeeze some lemon into the mix ... finely chop the cilantro and scallions and dump into the sauce as well ... (2) take the salmon steaks and place into the marinade - keep in the sauce for about an hour (refrigerate) ...
Cooking: (1) take out the salmon from the marinade, (2) turn up the heat on the stove to about medium-high and place a slice or two of salted butter on the saucepan, (3) after a few minutes (tho remember to be careful as butter burns easily...) place the salmon steaks on the pan, (4) cook for about 5 minutes on both sides, (5) then pour some of the marinade into the sauce pan, (6) chop some fresh cilantro and lemon, (7) lower heat to "low" ... simmer for another 10 minutes .... and voila!
serve with white rice and enjoy with grand bottle of chardonnay!
