Lamb Karai

1 kb lamb - diced in ca. 1.5cm cubes
1 cup yoghurt
2 tbsp crushed garlic
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp garam marsala
3 tbsp oil
4 green chilies - slit lengthwise
2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
4 tbsp tomato puree


- Mix the yoghurt, garlic, lemon juice and garam marsala, and mix well with the diced lamb. Leave for at least 3 hours.
- Fry the split green chilies until the stop spluttering on high heat
- Add the meat and stir fry for about 6 minutes
- Add the coriander, cumin and tomato puree and mix well
- Sprinkle some water on top
- Turn the heat to low and let it simmer until done
