Chocolate and banana marble cake

This is a very nice cake for dessert or an afternoon snack time with tea. The taste of the banana isn't too powerful so it goes very well with the chocolate part. Be careful when choosing the cocoa powder: I chose a 35% one otherwise the cake would have b

180 g flour
1 baking powder sachet
3 eggs
180 g caster sugar
150 g butter, melted
10 cl milk
75 g grated dark chocolate (I used Nestle cooking chocolate)
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 ripe banana
1 pinch salt


Cake pastry: In a medium bowl, mix together eggs, melted butter and milk, give the mixture a good whisk.

Then mix together the flour and the baking powder and whisk it into the mixture.

Pour the mixture into 2 separate bowls.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.

Banana: Crush the banana with a fork and add it to the first half of the mixture. Mix well.

Chocolate: Add cocoa powder and grated dark chocolate to the other half of the mixture. Mix.

Line a loaf tin with butter and pour thechocolate mixture first then the banana one.

Bake the cake for 45 min. To verify the cooking, put a knife into the cake: its blade must be dry when you take the blade out of it.

Tip: You can serve the cake with custard cream, it's delicious!
