Serves: 2-3

2 cups Rice
¼ cup Vegetable Oil
1 tsp. Cumin Seeds
2 nos. Onion(medium, chopped)
2 nos. Tomato(large, chopped)
6 nos. Green Chilies(chopped)
1 tbsp. Ginger/Garlic paste
¼ tsp. Turmeric Powder
¼ tsp. Red Chili Powder
1 tsp. Coriander powder
½ tsp. Lime juice
Salt to taste
Cilantro for garnishing(fine, chopped)
Coriander leaves for garnishing
½ lb. Prawns

Wash rice and soak in water. Clean and wash the shrimp and marinate it with half of red chilli powder, half of ginger-garlic paste, salt and all of the lime juice.Set aside.
Heat oil in a large cooking pan and add cumin seeds. Let it splutter. Now add onion and green chillies.
When the onion starts turning brown add tomatoes. Fry for about 5-7 mins and then add ginger-garlic paste.
Stir well and then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder. Stir well and then add cilantro. Mix well and then add the marinated shrimp. Stir well.
Now add water and let it boil. In the mean time drain the water from the soaked rice. When the water boils add rice to it.
When it starts boiling, lower the heat, close the lid and let it cook on low heat. After about 15-20 mins open the lid, stir the rice and press a grain or two.
If it is done, cover it and put off the heat after about 2 mins. Serve hot garnished with cilantro
