6 cups All Purpose Flour
1/2 cup Baking Powder
2 cups Carnation (Granular) milk powder (Must be Granular)
1/2 cup White Sugar
1/8 to 1/2 teaspoon salt
Air Tight Container
Mix All ingredients together and place in an airtight container for storage indefinitely.
To make Pancakes:
1 1/2 cups of mixture
1 cup Cold Water
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
Mix above ingredients together until just blended and drop by 1/3 cupfuls onto a medium hot frying pan. When surface is bubbly flip and cook until golden brown.
above recipe but cut the water to 3/4 cup so that it makes a VERY STICKY dough, u can add cheese powder if you want cheese dumplings. Drop by HUGE spoonfuls onto a slow bubbling stew, cover and cook 20 min. do not remove cover during cooking time.
same as Pancake recipe but add 1/4 cup of cornmeal to make a thick batter, insert Popsicle stick 1/2 way into hot dog dip in flour and then batter, deep fry until golden, remove with tongs.
For Fish Batter:Same as Pancake Recipe but substitute BEER of your choice for water, I use a toothpick to pick up fish after it's coated and slowly lower it into deep fryer, cook until golden. remove with tongs and serve with lemon juice sprinkled over it.
For Tea Biscuits: same as for pancakes but cut water to 1/2 cup making a semi sticky dough, before adding water, mix 1/2 to 3/4 cup of cubed cheddar cheese and chopped chives to dry ingredients, dough should be slightly sticky and dropped by LARGE heaping spoofuls onto a ligthly greased baking sheet, and baked for 10 to 12 minutes in a 395 - 400 'F oven. bake until golden brown. serve warm with butter.
