3 patatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1/4 c. butter divided
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 zucchini, slice
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tsp italien seasoning
1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 c. prepares tomato paste sauce
2 c. milk divided
1.4 c flour
1 1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese
1- Preheaat oven to 375F
2- In skillet, melt 2tbsp of butter and oil. Add patatoes and cook over medium-low heat for 5 min. stirring frequently. Add zucchini, salt and pepper. Cook until zucchini is tender.
3- Spoon vegetable mixture into 13"x9 baking dish. set aside.
4- In skillet, cook onion and seasoning until onion is tender. Add ground beef, cook and stir until beef loses its pink colour.. Stir in tomato sauce and 1/2 c. of the milk.
5- Spoon meat mixture over vegetable layer in dish.
6- melt remaining butter, stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in remainning milk. Cook and stir until sauce comes to a boil and thickens. Stir in cheese.
7- Pour sauce over meat layer
8- Bake for 20 to 25 min or until golden brown. Let stand for 10 min. before serving
