Hot Taco Dip

This is a yummy taco/nacho dip recipe that I originally got from Naomi MacDonald. =)

Preparation time: 15 min
Cooking time: 20-30 min

Serves: 8+ ?


1 brick plain cream cheese (low fat will work) - softened
1-2 Tb Mayo (low fat will work)
1 lb ground beef
1 pkg taco seasoning (optional)
1 jar salsa
2 cups cheddar cheese or Taco cheese
Nacho chips


Preheat oven to 350°F
Brown ground beef, drain any fat and add taco seasoning, if using.
In a bowl mix cream cheese and mayo until blended.
Spread cream cheese mixture in a 8 1/2 x 11 baking dish.
Spread ground beef mixture over this, followed by a layer of salsa and topped with cheddar cheese.
Bake until bubbling and slightly brown on top and around the edges, about 15-20 minutes. Allow to sit and thicken for five minutes before serving. Serve with sturdy nacho chips.
