Preheat oven to 350°F
Brown ground beef, drain any fat and add taco seasoning, if using.
In a bowl mix cream cheese and mayo until blended.
Spread cream cheese mixture in a 8 1/2 x 11 baking dish.
Spread ground beef mixture over this, followed by a layer of salsa and topped with cheddar cheese.
Bake until bubbling and slightly brown on top and around the edges, about 15-20 minutes. Allow to sit and thicken for five minutes before serving. Serve with sturdy nacho chips.
