Bread - Janet's recipe

1 Tablespoon Yeast
1 cup warm water
1 teaspoon sugar
10 - 12 cups flour
6 cups warm water
1 cup oil
6 Tablespoons sugar
1 Tablespoon salt


Place yeast, 1 cup warm water & 1 tsp sugar in bowl let stand for 10minutes. Add flour, cup by cup. Add remaining ingredients. Knead for 8-10minutes. Raise in warm place for 1 1/2 hours. Punch down. Raise 1 1/2 hours again & make into loaves. Grease bread pans with oil & place in pans. Let rise til double and then bake at 350F (180C) for 40-50minutes. Let cool on racks before serving.
