Dietary guidance: v
500 grams flour
300 grams sugar
65 grams butter (I used closer to 100grams)
200 grams chopped almonds
few drops vanilla extract
1/2 pkg (13grams) yeast
grated peel of 1/2 a lemon
(recipe was too dry, so I added 2 eggs, and a little milk)
Mix all ingredients together until a stiff dough forms. Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Make pieces 1-inch high, 4 inches wide & 6 inches long.
Bake at 350F (180C) for 30minutes.
Cut into 1/2-inch slices while hot.
Let cool before serving. Store in an airtight container.
