Peach Pie

Got this recipe from a cook in Treeplanting camps

5 cups sliced, peeled peaches
(or 2 cans, 28oz, drained - but decrease sugar to 1/2 cup)
1 tsp lemon juice
1 cup white or 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 Tbsp margerine
Crumb topping: optional
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup margerine


Mix peaches & lemon juice. Mix sugar, flour and cinnamon. Add to peaches. Put in pastry crust & dor woth margerine. Cover with crust or cumb mixture.
Crumb topping:
Mix all 3 ingredients together until crumbly and sprinkle over peaches.
Bake at 350F for 20-30minutes or until crust/topping is golden and peaches are bubbling.
Cool before serving.
