Refried beans

2 cups (16 oz) cooked beans (see my recipe on mexican black beans)
2 tbs chopped onion
1 clove garlic minced
2 tbsp corn oil
1/2 cup water or milk or bean liquid (I use bean liquid)


In a non-stick pan, heat oil and saute onion and garlic for about 1 to two min. Heat should be med-high. Mash beans into the oil, pour in liquid, and bring it to a slow boil. Use as much liquid as necessary for desired consistency of the beans.
