Sandy's Fudge Slice

Serves: 24 pieces


125 gms butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 tblspn cocoa
2 tblspn golden syrup
1 egg
1 cup SR flour
1/2 cup of raisins or sultanas
1/2 walnuts
1 tspn grated lemon rind


Slowly melt butter, sugar, cocoa & syrup.
Stir over low heat & let cool.
Beat egg & add with rest of ingredients.
Pour into greased lamington tin.
Cook at 375 degrees celcius for 25-30 minutes.
Cut while hot.
