Stuffed Artichokes

A filling way to eat artichokes!

2 artichokes
1/4 cup olive oil
7 to 8 slices white bread
5 garlic cloves, minced
fresh basil, minced
2 T dried oregano
salt and pepper, to taste


Prepare artichokes by removing first layer of leaves on bottom of choke, cutting off remaining leaf tips, and chopping 1/2 inch or so off top.

Mix ingredients in bowl (large resealable plastic bag also works well) and spoon into crevices while holding leaves open.

Steam chokes as usual and serve.
