Caramilk Banana Bread Loaf

Preparation time: 40 to 45 min. Serves: 1 loaf



  • 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 medium-sized apple, mashed
  • 1 1/2 cups self-raising flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 1/2 cups of any type of Caramilk chocolate, broken into pieces (add extra if desired)
  • 1/4 cup pecan nuts, chopped
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. sugar


  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Mix butter, sugar, and egg together in a bowl. Stir in mashed bananas. Add flour, cinnamon and then milk. Stir through chocolate.

  2. Pour into a greased and lined loaf pan. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake for 40-45 minutes until a toothpick inserted in centre comes out cleanly. Remove from oven and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, then cool in pan for 10 minutes before taking out to cool completely.
