Super easy, super addictive. Want a little sweet and fast. This is it.
Stir together first 5 ingredients in a small saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove hot caramel from heat, and stir in baking soda.
Place half of the popcorn in a lightly greased roasting pan and half in another. (I just use one cause I’m lazy.) Pour hot caramel evenly over popcorn mixture; stir well with a lightly greased spatula.
Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on wax paper to cool, breaking apart large clumps as popcorn cools.
I have reduced the baking time in half and sill had excellent results.
