Cream Cheese Filling
In a small bowl, cream together softened butter, cream cheese, sugar and cornstarch. Add egg, milk, and vanilla. Beat at high speed until smooth and creamy; set aside.
In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Add butter and 1 cup milk. Blend well at low speed for 1-1/2 minutes. Add sugar, 1/3 c. milk, eggs, Choco-Bake and vanilla. Continue beating 1-1/2 minutes more until well blended. Spread half of this batter into a well-greased and floured 9" x 13" baking dish. Spread cream cheese mixture over batter, spreading carefully to cover. Top with remaining batter. Spread to cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 - 60 minutes. Cool and frost.
Combine milk and butter in saucepan, bring to boil. Remove from heat. Blend in chocolate chips. Stir to melt. Beat in vanilla and sugar until spreading consistency. If necessary, you can thin with a few drops of milk.
