Cooking time: 30 minutes
Punahou School's famous blondies (Mrs. Marciel's recipe)
Preheat oven to 350ºF/180ºC.
Grease a 8" square baking pan.
Combine melted butter and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl and blend well; add eggs and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl, then add to wet in two stages, mixing between each addition. (Stir in any optional ingredients)
Pour into greased pan, and bake 30 minutes.
Cool in pan, then cut into squares/bars. Great served with vanilla ice cream or coffee!
