leRoy’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

Preparation time: 15 min Cooking time: 10 min Serves: 2


Chocolate Chip Cookies


  • 2sticks (1C) unsalted butter
  • 2C brown sugar
  • 1T vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2-1/2C flour
  • 1t salt
  • 1t baking soda
  • 2t cinnamon
  • 2C choc. chips (1 bag)


Blend dry ingredients. Cream butter, beat in sugar. Stir in vanilla, beat in eggs. Blend dry into wet. Blend in chips. (Chill 1 hour if you have time) Drop onto sheets. Bake at 375F, 10 min.


  1. These cookies are better if they slightly undercooked. They come out chewy and wonderful. When they are crisp, they’re good, but not as good.

  2. Rotate cookies after 5 minutes. Check if they’re done after 8 or 9 minutes. Watching cookies carefully is the key to avoiding overbaking.

  3. Don’t you dare use salted butter.
