Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 pounds boneless pork loin roast
  • 15 oz can sauerkraut
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tablespoon caraway seed (optional)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, unpacked
  • 1/2 cup apple juice (or 1/4-cup each water and applesauce)

Method

Place the pork roast into the crockpot. Add the sauerkraut on top, and then the onions. Sprinkle the cinnamon and caraway seed over top of the onions. Scatter the brown sugar over this, and then pour in the apple juice. Cover the crock pot and cook it on High for 4 hours, or on Low for 7 to 8 hours. Take the meat out and break it apart a little if desired.
