This is a hearty, satisfying dish! I spent years trying to duplicate, then improve upon, this staple dish from my grade school’s cafeteria in the early 1960s. Definitely a favorite comfort food of mine! Pairs beautifully with Jell-O cubes!

¢In a small bowl, combine the crabmeat, cheese, onion and butter. ¢Sprinkle steaks with salt and pepper. Cut a horizontal slit through each steak to within 1/2 in. of the opposite side, forming a pocket.
Combine first 4 ingredients, mix in hash browns. Spread into a 9x13 pan. Bake at 400 for 45-60 minutes. *I divided the potatoes into 3 small 7x7 disposable foil pans and froze them.

This recipe is super easy and tastes great. I used Uncle Ben’s Ready Rice, and dinner was ready in less than 5 minutes after walking in the door! Can’t beat that anytime of year!
